Dr Ian Hopkins BSc BVSc MRCVS CertSAM: Veterinary Surgeon. Advanced Practitioner SAM
Ian graduated from Liverpool in 1993 and achieved his advanced qualifications in Small Animal Medicine in 2003. He is the only veterinary surgeon in Knutsford and one of only 69 in the UK to be awarded Advanced Practitioner status in the field of Small Animal Medicine by the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons. Ian has worked for the Willows Veterinary Group since 1999, becoming a partner in 2006. He also works at our referral hospital in Northwich seeing difficult cases referred by vets all over the country. Ian has 2 cats called Tom and Jemima and a border terrier called Cookie.
Dr Naomi Roberts MRCVS BVSc: Veterinary Surgeon
Naomi joined Holly House in 2009 having qualified from The University of Bristol and has a special interest in Ultrasound and X-ray Techniques. She is our resident baker extraordinaire and regularly uses us as culinary guinea pigs for her homemade delights!! When she is not busy in the kitchen, Naomi enjoys spending time with her little boy George.
Vicky Cadwallender: Head Nurse
Vicky qualified in 2007 in North Yorkshire before moving to Northumberland to work in a mixed practice that specialised in exotics. After 4 years she moved to a referral practice as Head theatre nurse, dealing with orthopaedic and soft tissue surgery before joining us as our Head nurse in May 2013 along with her Border Terrier Rusty.
Sarah Bowler: Receptionist and Office Manager.
Sarah has been looking after Holly House clients for over 30 years and in 2012 received an national award – Veterinary Receptionist of the Year. Sarah has chickens at home and with her husband John is the proud owner of 6 Highland Cattle, Moira, Isla, Una, Nula, Canna and Hamish. John is also Holly House’s gardener.
Kirsty Beeston: Student Nurse
Kirsty joined Holly House in 2013 after completing a degree in Animal Behaviour. She has two cats called Gerrard and Bella. Kirsty has adopted three guinea pigs; Jacob, Rosalie and Esme. Kirsty is now training to become a registered veterinary nurse at Reaseheath college.
Heather Patterson: Auxiliary Nurse
Heather joined the practice in April 2014 as our new Auxiliary nurse. She owns a house rabbit named Dotty; a horse called Milly and has recently gained a kitten called Pebbles. She is working towards becoming a fully qualified Veterinary Physiotherapist.
Emma Louise Eppleston: Auxiliary Nurse
Emma Louise has always been an animal lover and previously worked in a boarding kennels. She has looked after many rescue animals and has even had a herd of Alpacas. She has two dogs, a 3 year old Alaskan Malamute called Luna and Barney a Staffie x Great Dane who is 2 and is stupid and dopey but loves to cuddle. She also has two cats Pippi a 14 year old who still looks like a kitten and Pepsi another 14 year old.
