Pets in the Park

Sunday 18th May 2014

Marbury Park, Northwich CW9 6AT

11am – 4pm

Cheshire’s biggest pet event returns and this year we have made it even bigger and better with more attractions. The ever popular fun dog show returns and this year we have one of the country’s leading dog display teams, doggie fashion shows, snakes, spiders, lizards, meerkats, the world of chicken keeping plus lots of stalls. Admission is free (parking charge applies). If you are coming
please bring some pet food to donate and we will distribute this to local animal charities and rescue centres. Full details of the event can be found at

This is Ginger’s Story.

He was brought into our Surgery with a lame foreleg and a wound on his lower neck. We x-rayed him and found that he had been shot with an air gun. The pellet had lodged in his shoulder joint. We operated on Ginger and are pleased to report that he is now back home recovering from his ordeal and getting lots of fuss. We hope this is an isolated incident. The photographs show the x-rays we took . The pellet is seen as a solid white object. You can see the pellet we removed along with a plug of fur, skin and tissue that it pushed in front of it as it travelled to the shoulder joint.

Award Nominations (Posted May 2013)

Following on from sarah’s success last year in the annual Petplan Veterinary Awards we are delighted to announce that this year we have been nominated in two categories. Holly House has been nominated for Veterinary Surgery of the Year and Ian has been nominated for the title of Vet of the Year. The awards have been running for 14 years and are known as the ‘oscars’ of the veterinary world. We would all like to say a big thank you to our clients who were instrumental in us receiving these nominations.
